Coordinator
Licensed veterinary technician Heather Puderbaugh has worked at VSES since 1998. Heather, who is also a veterinary technician specialist trained in emergency and critical care, is proud of the hospital's high standards of care and modern technology.
When she is not caring for animals at VSES, Heather enjoys sewing, candle making, vintage shopping and renovating her home, among other pastimes. She also loves spending time with her pets, which include four cats and two dogs.

Ally Sherman, ACA
Internal Medicine Coordinator
Internal Medicine Coordinator Ally Sherman enjoys helping sick animals and being there for the owners while their family member is undergoing treatment. A member of our staff since 2004, Ally feels very fortunate to work with highly skilled veterinarians who strive for excellence in quality patient care.
Ally is "Mom" to two Staffordshire Terriers, Lucy Lou and Aerosmith, and four cats - Charlie, Ogee, Hazlitt and Keuka. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, road trips, antiquing, baking dog treats, home renovations and spending time with loved ones.
Christina Gardner, LVT
Ophthalmology Coordinator
Ophthalmology veterinary technician Christina Gardner has worked at VSES since 1998. She is licensed in New York State and also holds an associate's degree from the State University of New York at Delhi.
Christina enjoys her work as an ophthalmology veterinary technician because of the wide variety of services she and the hospital are able to provide to the community and its pets. When she is not helping to care for animals at VSES, Christina prefers to spend her time with her husband and young daughter. Together, they enjoy camping, watching movies and visiting with friends. The four-legged members of the family are Oscar, a Dachshund, and Comanche, an Australian Cattle Dog.
Tamara Sloan, ACA
Radiology Coordinator
Before joining VSES as a full-time radiology coordinator in July 2011, Tamara worked for a year and a half at East River Veterinary Hospital in Henrietta.
She has four pets: Gabby, a 10-year-old mini dachshund; Molly, a 2-year-old mini dachshund; Penny, a 7-month-old Pembroke corgi; and Bamboo, a 7-year-old tiger cat. Outside work, Tamara spends her free time walking her dogs, reading, swimming, camping, gardening, and hosting parties. Her favorite hobby is baking and pastry decorating.
Stephanie Miller, ACA
Surgery Coordinator
Stephanie has been working within the animal care field since 2007 and has been with Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Service as our Surgery Coordinator since March of 2011. She says that being able to work with animals is a true pleasure for her.
At home, Stephanie has a Chihuahua named Celie, Siberian Husky named Lena, a number of Bettas and other tropical fish and four ducks. Her interests include writing, drawing, spending time with her fiancé, playing with her dogs and taking care of her many fish.
Robyn Woodward, ACA
Surgery Coordinator
Robyn Woodward is a Surgery Coordinator with more than five years of professional animal-care experience.
Asked what she likes most about her work Robyn says it’s the diversity of cases and being part of the high-quality of care being offered at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care.
At home, she has three cats named Yuri, Marcus and Ritchie, and two dogs, both Greyhounds, named Novi and Apex. She also enjoys hiking, wildlife photography, gardening, reading, playing with her dogs, and volunteering for her local Greyhound adoption group.
Martinique Bonter, ACA
Emergency Coordinator
Martinique Bonter, has always loved animals and has worked in the animal care field for nine years. She joined the VSES staff in 2001 and is the emergency coordinator. Martinique has an Associate in Science degree from Monroe Community College. Martinique believes her employment at VSES has given her the ability to see and apply a higher standard of care for animals. She also loves the one-on-one relationship she has with her allergy clients.
When she is not caring for animals at the hospital you can find Martinique camping, watching movies, gardening or swimming. She loves spending quality time with her friends, family and her pets which comprise of "Mork", her tweleve year old cat, and her tank of fish.
Laurie Hunter, ACA
Emergency Coordinator
Laurie Hunter has helped to care for animals at VSES since 2007. She thrives on the fast-paced, exciting atmosphere in the emergency department and is proud of the high-quality compassion and care given to clients and their pets.
A mom to three children, Laurie spends a lot of time at their activities, which always includes concerts and musicals. She also enjoys scrapbooking, crocheting, reading and working on crossword puzzles. The family has a Keeshond / Chow mix named Noelle and a Siberian Husky / German Shepherd mix named Molly, and Laurie volunteers her time with the Hope Foundation.
Tim Rawlings, ACA
Emergency Coordinator
Timothy joined Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Service in March of 2011 as an Emergency Coordinator in March of 2011. He is nearing completion on a degree in Veterinary Technology at Penn Foster College and has been a longtime volunteer at Lollypop Farm, a nonprofit animal shelter and advocacy organization. Prior to his work in the animal care field, he worked for 21 years in the corporate offices of Wegmans.
“I love working at VSES because I am in a profession surrounded by animals,” he says. “It is also very rewarding to see patients receive stellar care and get healthy again so they can return home to their family.”
Timothy’s pets include a Husky/Lab mix named Midas and a Lab/Greyhound mix named Hoss. His interests include competitive volleyball (he is a NYSPHSAA certified high school volleyball official), getting outdoors, camping, and biking.
